You also have to consider the rest of your equipment when looking to upgrade one piece of your set-up. If you have an older pc with older software, a newer printer might not be backwards compatible. Specifically, the newer printer may not have printer drivers that work with XP, for example. That can work the other way, too, so it's always a good idea to check that all out before replacing one component.
Any newer equipment seems to require more memory and more processing power, so it can be a little tricky upgrading piecemeal. |
