Okay it's my fault... but hey a total stranger is Notarizing the signers documents and they are paying $10 per signature. That's a lot of free money coming into the cash register. I remember asking my friend that owned a copy store that I used to notarize for on a daily basis why he didn't have a tip jar. No he hadn't thought of that. So he put one out and started getting $25-30 a day in tips. He said by the end of the month it was enough money to pay the rent on the store. The point is the margins are pretty slim and notary cash is pennies from heaven for a Mom & Pop as well as a big stinking franchise like UPS. By the way, most customers are just dropping off and getting recipes. That generates 0 income, so they can wait in line. |
