I'm inclined to think that, as she just acquired this co. a few months ago and they apparently rapidly made her their go-to person, she has more clout than she might think. Definitely worth trying to determine the what/why of the situation before agreeing to any reduction.
I mean, c'mon...they like her work and have been paying HER fee for a couple of months...and now they'd still like to have her doing their work...just at the fee that they pay people whose work they don't like as much??? A polite well-thought-out discussion is called for. |
