I had a title company tell me that the going rate in my area was about half of what I charge. And they wanted me to drop my fees.
My going rate is the same as yours. I declined. The work seemed to taper off for a little while but now I'm back to getting more jobs from them than before. Averaging about 15 to 20 a month.
I was willing to negotiate but when the conversation started with a silly statement like that, not so much. I would have been ok with 115/120. Then I would have cut down on accepting the long distance and large lender package jobs. |
