I couldn't afford not to track, and can honestly say
Posted by  NVLSlady/VA of VA on 1/12/16 5:52pm Msg #544037
I've never not been paid for work. I do recall being shorted (I marked on spreadsheet); but no worries 'cause I never worked for them again. I'm funny like that. Once I'm left holding the check, the next date is off!

*For me, the notary disconnect lies in lauding "low/slow pay" companies (saying, "at least they pay") And scheduling more signings when 2 or more are unpaid; I just don't understand that. I came to know pretty quickly who I wanted to work with and who I didn't have the energy to waste time on. So . . . that's 1 reason I can't boast thousands of signings! I am S L O W L Y getting the accounts I Want. It also gave me time to learn the business (NR helped a lot and other interactions). I set reasonable limits; (and know there are plenty other notaries to meet a need I won't or My business model doesn't allow.

*My spreadsheet: It's Red until 'dead' (paid); then Black; I currently have one red entry from end of last month; that's the one I'll watchWink

*Are more of the reputable companies using platforms like the coffee site for their tracking? Seems to streamline things. At the very least we should know Who/where to send our invoices.
