The UPS store in Groton, CT not only refuses to give receipts, they are rude about even accepting a package with a prepaid label. Some clerks HAVE refused even to receive a package of docs that have had a prepaid label.
At least one clerk at that store has lied to a number of potential customers. She supposedly is a Notary Public. She refuses to notarize signatures on SOME documents, claiming that only an attorney can notarize those docs! IN CONNECTICUT THAT SIMPLY IS NOT TRUE. She is breaking the law, as well as misleading people who do not know better.
When the corporate office of UPS has been contacted, they refused to help. They always state that it is a franchise, and the franchises are allowed to make their own rules EVEN IF THEY BREAK THE LAW!
There is a UPS Depot relatively near that UPS Store, and the gentlemen and ladies at the Depot are unfailingly polite and super helpful. |
