had an issue yesterday with i.d. versus loan docs.......i.d. read Jane Doe......docs read Jane Lee Doe..........advised EO that I could only write my acknowledgements as Jane Doe. On a conference call at the table, the lender said I had to write my acknowledgements Jane Lee Doe as that is what the DD214 said. Otherwise they could not get the loan guaranteed. Borr had no i.d. as Jane Lee Doe. Lender said if I couldn't use the DD214 as i.d. and write my acknowledgements accordingly they would find another notary that would use the DD214 as i.d. After we hung up, borr looked at me and said, "I'm appalled that the lender said that. I was a notary for many years and know you can't use a DD214 as i.d. I can't believe they said that to you. That's illegal."
It was a wonderful day yesterday....... |
