The erosion of our business has been going on for years. We are being stripped gradually by corporate giants who wish to dilute our business by participating in our fees, and most notaries aren't even aware it's happening. First, the XYZ, then the SPEW, and now SD, all getting more of the pie, One of these days, most NSAs will be working for $50 across the board if they buy into these crafty business models.
The advertising, promoting, marketing, networking of these giants has more velocity than individual NSAs. The pros who've been in this business for more than a decade, well, they are dialed in and understand how to get the best business. A majority of NSAs, especially new ones, are only too willing to sign up with companies that they think will make them some money...not big money, chump change. I wish the NSA community would wise up and research how to get the best paying business and not promote and work for these low ball, slow pay, or no pay companies, no matter what platform they use.
