Yes a laser printer is a must, for a couple reasons. It's harder to alter the legal documents if printed with toner instead of ink and most lenders want you to use a laser printer. Also, try printing out a mortgage package, especially when you're short on time with an inkjet, it will take forever. I also use my scanner regularly, I can't tell you the last time I faxed anything.
