ID for notary purposes and ID for NSA work..
To complete the Patriot Act forms in loan packages yes, a second form of ID is usually required...
For strictly notary purposes, only one form is needed, and an "insurance card, work ID, voter ID, pretty much anything..." doesn't cut it and are completely unacceptable as ID in Florida.
Even when doing loan signings, the first form of ID I ask for are the ones required by our notary laws - if that ID isn't satisfactory, the rest is a moot point because I can't notarize anyway - I can't combine 2 or 3 ID's to make one acceptable one.
That's a major break in communication that I've noticed over the years on this forum. Many people automatically think everything topic is aimed at doing loans, and unless it's specifically stated, it's not necessarily so. All topics are not always talking about being an NSA and doing loan signings.
