Actually, court judgment mars credit...

....worse than collections. The court puts the judgment on the credit record, not the person. It is the court who they pay and will declare the judgment paid on the credit. The deadbeat or their business entity will suffer financially until they pay up. They will be charged exhorbitant interest rates with a judgment on their credit.

Deliberate deadbeats are NOT protected by a business entity. Do not be fooled. A judge will see right thru their LLC and hold them PERSONALLY liable. They cannot buy a car, get a job without being hit with the highest interest rates. No one will rent to a person with a judgment on their credit.

I notarize regularly for a collection agency and when the owner educated me about this, it seems better to sue...to punish the deadbeats long term. Then they have to pay up anyway.
