For CA, 10% interest may be collected on the unpaid balance of a judgment.
The court renders judgments and provides forms and instructions to obtain writs, abstracts, withholding orders and levies. They don’t do the dirty work of collecting or else we would have a full-time judiciary collection system.
Corporations and individuals who own corporations get sued all the time, thus the term limited liability. You may think of some instances where the individual owner(s) have been sued.
