I'm going to address each one of these points.

1.) She used ditto marks in her journal

She needs to be directed to the latest newsletter the CA SOS put out in January. It addresses this very issue. No ditto marks and no slanted lines drawn. Line items for each and every notarization.

2.) there were 3 Jurats in my package and she didn't put me under oath.

This could be a fine of $750 or $2500, can't remember, CA notaries chime in if you know.

3.) This is California, she didn't staple anything.

This is law. If the cert is separate from the signature, it is to be stapled.

4.) She put her title on the patriot act form. A notary's title only goes on official notarial certificates.

The title notary public is to be used ONLY when you are signing your cert and affixing your seal. I put signing agent as my title on this form.

5.) I signed for 2 completed copies of the RTC, I didn't get any.

As everyone here is a signing agent, we know the answer to this so I won't go into it. I definitely would have asked for copies of the RTC.

She may have had her commission for 25 years but has she been a signing agent that long?

She needs to go back and review the CA handbook. She certainly has been derelict in her duties as a CA notary public.
