I agree with the change in mentality that was mentioned. You MUST consider yourself a professional and run your business that way. When the CA rates went up, I created a new fee schedule with an explanation about the rate increase. I, too, will be trickling this out to companies I work with. Not sending it to everyone at once. Sending a professionally crafted fee schedule to your clients, I believe, is a practice we all should do. It sends the message that you are a professional contractor, in charge of your business, sending in YOUR fees- not accepting what THEY want to pay. Any other profession that does contract work does this. Why shouldn't we?
