Not that anyone would admit to it after your scathing interpretation of what happened at UPS. This is certainly the first UPS store I ever heard of that was concerned about privacy and fraud .... In any case, Nations Signature Closers and one other prominent SS whose name I can't recall once had a nationwide deal with UPS to print docs. We NSAs would go pick them up on the way to the signings. UPS certainly wasn't concerned about privacy and fraud then, (not to mention offering unsolicited career advice).. . and probably still isn't. Sounds to me that something else was possibly going on here. I'm sure this wasn't the only "secure correspondence" Ali has seen ... and printed. They do it every day at every location across the country. I bet everybody who takes stuff in to get printed considers it private ... short of fliers for Little League fund-raisers.
Also, I've had calls for emergency signings where there was no time for me to go back home and print and the hiring agency wanted to send them to a FedEx location near me for printing. So all this privacy stuff is of little concern when it comes time to get a loan signed ... for some reason we NSAs are the only ones who seem to take it seriously. And Ali.
(Incidentally, the old idea to pickup docs at the nearest UPS location fell out of favor after a short while for a number of obvious reasons. Docs were never ready, printed incorrectly, lost. Etc.) |
