I looked at those too. It emphasizes their need to build and keep relations with lenders and title companies.
While this may happen an a few short years on the east coast and mid-west, I see a long haul for the western states.
CA for example was one of the last hold-outs to sign up with the NMLS Registry (Federal requirements for loan origination) without modifying the government requirement to fit the state. We were the only state to be able to make that modification.
CA Bureau of Real Estate does not allow reciprocity for brokers in other states to broker here without a CA BRE license which is far tougher than say IL. There are a number of states that hold that same ground.
The same ix-nay on reciprocity may be true due to CA's tough notary requirements.
We have a ways to go. I feel senior retiree NSA's in the West may not have to worry too much about this in the very near future. But who knows... |
