| YUP... at a closing yesterday with a bank lender, new LO??, came and sat at the table with us... nothing new. When completed we were talking and he asked about e-signings and how they were going to make things so much better and smoother. I'm not a fan... so I said You know when a Notary sits with your client we are about the last line of fraud defense. His reply was a puzzled "how so" and I explained that just simple conversation can lead to finding out mis-information, which in-turn can be sent back up the chain for another look. He said that fraud is still a priority and he has some insight to a potential problem.... Handed me his card and said thanks for a good closing... card title was Vice President of Mortgage Services... who knew. |
