A couple of my first closings were $75, but the next one for this same company I raised from $75 to $130 and got it! Shortly thereafter they sent me their contract for if they want to contact me directly. Some of their prices were low, so I put down the prices I thought were better. I have since spoken to the manager, but have not receive more assignments.
My average is $90 to $100, with one I counteroffered up to $125.
So far nothing has been sent back to me for correction, so I might be doing okay.
I learned from this forum to not accept lowball prices.
I learned from this forum to stand UP for myself and my profession.
I also learned from this forum how to research any company that send me an assignment. Even if I accept an assignment prior to checking a company out, research and discover they don't pay or they treat notaries badly, I can call them and cancel and tell them exactly why I am cancelling.
