Going to also throw this out there...
Suppose a man takes title as a single man "John Doe", then he changes his sexual identity later on and tries to refi or sell that property, but John Doe hasn't existed in years...he has no legal paper work, just decided he wants to be female and identities himself that way.
How does title reflect that change, how do you as a notary identify John Doe now as Jane Doe? The NSA needs that paper trial I would assume to legally notarize or show some medical papers that turned John into Jane so you can accept Jane Doe signing as John Doe, right? I don't think a AKA would qualify for turning into a different gender.
When a single woman gets married, we have the paper trial of the martial contract and the chain of command so to say, the SS administration requires that copy to change her name there and so on... I don't see how this would be any different, but they would need a paper trial, just not what they "identify" with. I believe they would legally have to have the paper trial to show the gender changing, for everyone to do their jobs legally. jmo
Perhaps one solution is to stop at birth putting gender on birth certificates or adding salutations to names such as Mr. or Miss...let everyone guess at it. |
