The Natomas area of Sacramento (near airport) got Graupel -- soft hail -- lots of it. On TV, looked like at least 6 inches of snow. Traffic issues, carports collapsing on vehicles, people shoveling "snow" off their walkways and roofs.
Rain and snow expected from Wednesday evening through end of the week. We need it though. Northern California hadn't had hardly any precipitation this winter and we were, once again, talking drought conditions and restrictions. |
