These types of things, in Windows 10 (all versions), in my experience has been Windows trying to install what it thinks will be a driver appropriate for your printer. If you see options that are normally present are now missing under a new system its a generic driver and PPD you might want to look at. I have to assume you didn't go to the manufacturers site and download any software they supply. Don't use CDs that came with the printer.
The driver should make the Printer usable and the correct PPD will give you your custom sizes etc.. any additional postscript items are here- I'm not sure Windows tries to give you anything in the way of PPDs, just a general driver. Macs have a lot of extra software like this pre-installed in their retail system builds (which appears to some to add bloat) so you may not have the issue there. |
