For a home bound or bedridden person, senior or not, they have field agents who will come to the person's home so the person can get a state ID. If I do allow CWs, it's only ONCE...then I inform the person they need to go to the DMV to make an appt for the field agent to come to the home for their relative. I had a person who needed a POA for a home bound aunt. I never mentioned CWs to them and told them about the field agent. They did that and this aunt has a Senior Citizen's state ID card now. Three other relatives got Senior ID cards for their home bound family members via the DMV field agent so I know for a fact it works. Due to the rampart increase in ID theft, fraud and senior abuse, I refuse to POAs with CWs. I could care less if I'm reported to the SOS for this. Any other doc, maybe and only ONCE. Folks need current ID, whether or not they're driving. JMO |
