If a pardon of Chelsea Manning gets us Julian Assange - as Assange has said he will do - I'm perfectly OK with it.
Everybody else that was pardoned - we probably don't know who most of them are.
Every President has isued pardons on their way out; some have been a lot more contreversial than Manning. For the most part, it's not that big a deal.
