I actually experienced something very similar when I took Psych 101, so I guess it must have been a common practice among Psych professors back then.
The difference here is that what happened wasn't a single incident that everyone in the room saw only ONCE. What we have here was captured on videos so that it could be seen again and again. Not only that, the videos could be analyzed and compared. And the comparison, which overlaid the Infowars video on the actual CSPAN video, shows that several frames were doctored to make it look like Acosta's hand was moving faster than it actually was - which made it look like he struck her when in reality the contact was incidental.
This is not about people seeing the same things differently - it's about people seeing different things. Do your research, don't just accept what you've been shown by people who think the same way you do.
