Although I believe it's a woman's body and a woman's choice, I agree with you - the government can regulate the doctors to ensure they're performing properly, but stay out of the decision of whether or not to abort. That's not the government's business.
I see these new laws that prohibit abortion for ANY reason - including rape, incest, or threat to the mother's health - coming from a political party that says the government should be LESS invasive of individual rights, and these laws are inserting the government right into the difficult decisions that a family should be making for themselves. |
