VT_Syrup brings up a good point about "page numbers, headings, footers, barcodes..." To be clear, if any of those things are there (and if the certificate is state compliant), that's good enough for me. If it's not compliant, I add one of my own, all of which include an optional info section. The only time I'd write something onto a provided certificate that's on a separate page would be if there was nothing there that clearly connects it to the rest of the document, again assuming it's state compliant.
