Rarely happens. All area banks (even the national chain ones) require & pay for nearly every employee to be a notary (as a free service to customers). Add any other business that needs a notary and the result is 12% of my county residents ARE notaries. But, except for me & 2 other people, none of them are independent or mobile. As 'free' is so pervasive, the general public who need something notarized after hours, weekends get really upset with the idea of 'not free'.
