"Serve your employer and grow your career. Or manage your own needs."
I can see this if you are a notary/paralegal working under an attorney's supervision; however, I would go for an attorney-taught paralegal class at your local college on this subject. The cost is the same or less.
I don't know about other states, but there are a number of CT unauthorized practice of law lawsuits (civil complaint added by injured person who paid the paralegal's fee) against non-attorneys "filling out" immigration forms. The immigrant did not understand that "notary" did NOT MEAN LAWYER WHO COULD GIVE ADVICE ON COMPLETING THE FORM.
A non-attorney can, with great care, "fill in" a form. BUT s/he cannot give one word of assistance! |
