Yes, I dress professionally, and the state of my car is irrelevant to this discussion in my opinion; I just threw that line in for a bit of comic relief. I've been doing this for 15 years, and I've never received a complaint from a client (other than in one case when the client blamed me, the title company, and all of America for trying to rob him of his life's savings and that we (America? Notaries? he never did say) were terrorist demons and that we would eventually get what was coming to us. Even then, I managed to close the signing with dignity and professionalism.
