Hello BearPaw,
First I would like to say I take offense to your response as it was insulting. It seems you have some anger built up about ASAP PRO NOTARY and you are upset that I took an assignment from them. I am fairly new to this business and learning everyday on how to make my business better. you stated "You're upset? I'm really upset Then, you totally screw up the signing (late/botched faxbacks, missed drop off, making assumptions, on and on.) But the WORST part is that after things completely fell apart, you come on NR, whining and expecting sympathy from your fellow NSAs when all you have done is your very best to keep a lousy SS in business. " Just so you know I didn't come to this site to "Whine" I came to this site because I wanted advice not sympathy. Had I known that this site was a bashing, and put down of notaries, I wouldn't have joined. Your response was filled with lots of anger towards me as if I did something wrong to you personally.
Secondly, yes I made a mistake by assuming all companies expected immediate fax backs within a certain timeframe not at the table. I should've asked ASAP PRO NOTARY questions before I took the assignment. I take full responsibility of that.
Third you stated "You had PLENTY of opportunity to turn this back. You deserve everything you got" Wow how could one (BEARPAW) be so angered. What happened to you? No one deserves to be disrespected like you are doing now.
Fourth I contacted the title company and apologized for any inconvenience my actions has caused and I explained how ASAP PRO NOTARY refuse to pay me. The title company stated they do not make decision on paying the notaries but the ASAP PRO NOTARY did get paid. A few minutes after my call with the title company I received a call from ASAP PRO NOTARY stating they are paying me for my print and time. All I can do at this point is leave it in Gods hands and let the decision be made by him. If I get paid that's a blessing, If I don't get paid that's a learning experience. The bottom line is I learned a lot from this one signing on how I need to make sure I am equipped for the job, and ask questions not assume.
Lastly, I do not want to have bad blood on this site because this is not what the site is for, all I wanted was a place to get advice from other notarial professionals. I respect all comments and will work on my opportunities to be a better notary.
By the way The borrower did close on their home with no issues.
