What a sob story to make us feel sorry for their shrinking profit margin. Our profit margin has been shrinking since I started in 2005, do they care about us? Nope, not really. I started at average $100.00 closing loans in 2005, and since then the cost of living has dramatically increased and still trying my hardest to maintain that $100.00 closing. Do they care? We can only squeeze so much toner from our cartridges taping them off, burping them for an extra few pages, scouring places to get the best deals on paper, we plan our driving trips sparingly to save a buck on gas and toll charges, and they cry and want to offer us even less? Great for them, we just have to say "no". We cannot lose any more tiny profit margin than we already have. We are not making any volume to make up for the loss. Sure send me 4 closings a day at $85.00 close by and we shall talk...it doesn't happen. They take and no give, and threaten to stop using you if you don't. Blackmail? They need us just as much as we need them. Newbies especially who haven't a clue of price points and business profitability are the only ones keeping these people eating steak and taking vacations while we have to eat ramen to get the rent and electric paid on time. We need to just say no to their closings and move on to companies who appreciate us and want to treat us with respect. No is a powerful word, as is blocking lowball companies on SD. Pretty soon if we all do it, they will have to go back up to get their loans closed and make their companies happy with their notaries. jmo PS...maybe we should start sending them our sob story letters on how we can't pay our bills on $85.00 closings |
