Depends on the state. I believe it's the norm at "table funding" states, where everything is finalized on the spot, checks are issued and keys are handed over, as I understand it. CA is an escrow state, where it's simply not done that way. I've not ever - even once - had an appointment like that in my 16 years in this biz.

IMO, if they doubled those fees, they MIGHT be in the ballpark - but maybe not... Those fees are insane, imo. It would make much more sense to me if they deducted $20 from the fee for a 2nd signing because of no travel, than to just add $20. That's why I don't work for Amrock!
