And he told me _____________. Actually, I'll fill that part in. And he told me: "It was everybody else's fault." Take your pick: Notaries didn't invoice. NR reviews in SC are all from disgruntled notaries who didn't do their job. Notaries tell lies about us. Our bookkeeper has been out on maternity leave. Yes, we did accidentally send a few checks out unsigned. Etc.
So I decided to give him a chance. >>
Then it ends with: I should have listened because it's been ______ months with no payment, nobody answers the phone. What should I do?
Or in some cases: He was as good as his word. I got paid in _______ weeks/months. I will work for him again.
