It's not just miles traveled, either. In some areas, the same miles also may be more costly because of traffic/travel time and cost of living. Gas prices in my area, for example, have been hovering around or above the $3.00/gal level for quite some time.

Thankfully, GNW, which can be very profitable here, has been filling in nicely for me, so I never accept anything below $XXX, unless it's misc odd docs. As for a plan B, I agree with you about not wanting to invest time in something (like a j.o.b.) that will pay less, but there are other options... Wink
