aren't supposed to do them (not a notary function--no notarization involved). I made an exception & have been doing them, because it's a requirement for people's employment. Yes, we are acting as an "authorized representative" of the co. I get why they ask them to get a notary--because we're used to verifying ID, and that's what we do on these forms. You can use the orange search button & pull up other discussions of I-9 forms.
