what scenarios I accept. I too, don't want to spend days, months, years, first being deposed, then appearing in a court of law defending my decision to notarize for a "delicate" situation. Not worth it!
This past weekend, I had occasion to notarize for a couple who were adding "father's name to child's name" on birth certificate documentation with the State of California, and I was hesitant, as both parents were sort of ignorant about the process. I'd never notarized this sort of documentation either so I was in unfamiliar territory. |
