has this ever happened?
After the signing (a re-sign), drive to the shipper to perform the doc package handoff when the shipping employee states: "The Tracking # is already present and utilized within the system."
Is it possible that the title company re-used the label from the initial signing?
That remains uncertain; however, I was required to pay for the return shipping out of pocket (around 7 PM last night). The shipping staff member stated (without me posing it as a question to her): "I cannot go in and look up their account number and charge it to that account under a new Tracking # without their direct approval." Yes, that was completely logical and comprehensible.
FYI: I have received definitive confirmation that remuneration for this unanticipated expense will be included in the payment from my trusted long-time client.
P.S. I realize that some would recommend to "drop it in the shipper's box;" however, my business policy is to observe the shipping staff member scan in the package (thus accepting responsibility) and print a receipt for my records.
