I'm pleased to know that the end product is distinguishable, at least, but that's not enough, IMO. Our former state Attorney General long ago issued a statement that CA notaries aren't allowed to do remote notarizations, but wouldn't it be nice to see some legislative body in some state pass a law prohibiting remote notarization for, at the very least, documents to be recorded? That may be a pipe dream, but I can't help but think it's only a matter of time before some fraud case with one of these docs ends up in court somewhere.
