I do not have time to wait for docs. I had 5 closings today. I inform title or SS if I need docs earlier then the normal 2 hour window. If they get a drop dead time and miss it, then they get moved to a time after I am able to return to the office and print the docs. PERIOD. If they want me to sit by my printer and wait for their docs they can book the time, and we all know that isn't happening. When I first entered this industry, 17 years ago, closing for a TC, I was astonished that the norm was receiving last minute docs from the lender. I still find it unbelievable that most lenders are working on files for the same day. I prefer Quicken Loans! Their docs are ready when the appointment is scheduled. Sometimes a week or more in advance! I've learned not to fret over the arrival of docs. It's not up to me so whatever happens, happens. I've got enough grey hair.... |
