You didn't say anything about your background or training, so make sure, before you even try to get started, that you know the ropes well as a notary, first. Second, make sure you're very familiar with loan documents and the process of how a loan gets closed and what our part in that process should be.
One of your best tools might be the archives right here on this site, which has message going back nearly to decades. Do as much reading here as you can starting from today and going backwards. You can also search for specific topics with the orange Search button on page 1 of the forum, but these days, you might even do better searching on Google - which very often brings up threads from here. Nearly everything you can imagine (including what supplies do you need...) has already been asked and answered many times.
Finally, be very careful who you believe and who you work for. Sadly, lots of new notaries get an education from the school of hard knocks by accepting work from unscrupulous companies who somehow never get around to paying you and may even sometimes ask you to do inappropriate or illegal things.
Oh yeah, and NEVER give out your social security number to anyone who hires you. If you haven't already, you can get a Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) online in just a few minutes. That will be linked within the IRS to your SSN and that's the ONLY number you should use on the many W-9 forms you're likely to be asked for.
