Re: Notary journaling for mortgage signings

I fill out the part of the journal ahead of time with what document is being notarized and what type of notary is being performed. This way quicker when you get to the signing.

At the signing, I obtain I'd, complete that part first and they sign my book.

Next they sign the documents and I sign and stamp my seal on each document that needs to be noticed right after they sign.

Too many notaries sign and stamp their seal on the documents st their desk later, which actually isn't allowed in California. Doesn't stop some from doing things in a way that is quicker even though wrong.
