After doing at little research (No firsthand experience, knowledge, etc.), this statement may carry more weight than you know: ["I was being "hired" to serve as the law firm's "representative" AND that I was NOT to refer to myself as "just a notary," but a "local representative of ABC Law Firm."]
That's VERY specific in legal terms - and their attorneys understand the ramifications of such an "order." Might want to remind somebody to Review classifications of its workers - which undoubtedly affects liability.
Hard to believe property owner only has fire coverage; if renter doesn't carry renter's insur., he sure will be made to now.
Awful experience to have. Take care of yourself.
p.s. Staying to complete assignment and Driving back 45 Miles (you ARE a trooper). . . Make sure ALL your medical & other miles are documented and accounted for; could easily come down to some serious "overtime" - incl. lost job opportunities (Just sayin').
