I agree with Christine's comments above about being careful with ratings. They frequently don't tell the whole story, especially these days. For starters, some of them are old and things change with companies, especially in markets like the current one, when business appears to be on a downturn. (Recent rises in interest rates will have some kind of impact on numbers of loan applications and even more on numbers that actually make it through to the signing.)
Also, I sometimes get the impression that the standards and expectations of those doing the ratings have been lowered in recent years, so that needs to be considered, as well. On the Signing Central pages, you can click on "Comments" to see more details about ratings - and when they were given - but coming back to this page and using the "Search" feature (orange button) will often yield much more than what can be written in one short sentence... |
