Before you go to lender and register your complaint, Cheryl, consider how Eric may defend himself. You state: "Eric stiffed me on a second trip for a HELOC closing in September because the lender left out an important document. I asked for a fee, he never agreed to it but seemingly expected I would take care of the client .... "
Was that important document something a seasoned NSA such as yourself should have been aware of such as a DOT or HELOC Agreement or NORTC? Something you should have noticed and brought to lender's attention prior to going to signing?
You state you asked for a fee and he never agreed to it. Why did he not agree to it? Why did you proceed with second trip knowing there was no fee agreement for 2nd trip? You've been in this business long enough to know to get everything in writing.
Not trying to pick on you. Far from it. Just putting a few thoughts out there as to what Eric may say when he hears of your complaint. Since most of us are trusting, ethical individuals/businesses, we expect everyone we deal with to reciprocate. Unfortunately and sadly, that's not always the case.
