Recording a warranty deed for TX property notarized in VT
Posted by  VT_Syrup on 12/4/18 8:07am

I notarized a deed for a San Antonio TX property, and couldn't fit my seal near my signature without going into the margin, so I stamped at the bottom of the page. Now title is complaining I should have stamped over the word "seal" near my signature.

My state does not require notaries to use seals. Does anyone know if TX requires deeds notarized in a state that does not require seals to have a seal anyway in order to be recorded? Can anyone point out what TX law addresses the issue?
