I also agree. For what it's worth, I've done essentially the same thing with many Deeds of Trust where some quality issue was found ages later (like missing signatures for property in a trust) or it was accidentally never recorded or rejected for recording, like for an improper notarization, etc.

All those cases involved either a replacement signature page(s) or additional signature(s) added to either a copy of, or the original, document. Nothing in the content of the documents were changed, including the original document date, even though it was a year (or more or less) later. The notarization, of course, reflected the actual date of the current re-signing (or re-acknowledgment) of the document.
