I agree with you that I don't hesitate to give a company a good rating (if they deserve it) because I'm afraid of competition. The competition is going to be there no matter what. It doesn't matter what I say or don't say about a company. If I rate a company that I work for, it's simply to give other notaries an idea of what my experience was. Maybe it helps them in making a decision to work or not work for that company and maybe it doesn't. As the saying goes.....your mileage may vary :-)
