I took it as an English requirement in HS and was a requirement for my son when he was in HS as part of graduation. It's good to know, but to be like the interpreters on TV it takes many years. I just learned the alphabet to sign. Never had to use it much, but there if needed. I watched that story and really touching all the neighbors did this for the little girl. In my opinion much harder to read than to do. I think most deaf people would have to bring an interpreter for their closing. |
