There should be more info available on this company via the search feature. (Look for "SD" as well as their name.)
They are not a signing service and they don't hire anyone directly. They are strictly a software platform that some signing service companies (and some large settlement companies) use to hire notaries. It allows them to send out email blasts to a group of notaries all at once, including a very few details about the assignment. They also charge their clients per assignment - and most of their clients seem to be deducting that fee from what they "offer" to notaries.
Most fees from companies use that platform are beyond ridiculous, as others have said, and there's a good number of us here who refuse to work for those companies. I don't even bother to respond to those emails, but in my area they don't ever seem to have a problem finding someone who will work for cheap. That seems to be their goal. (There are a few signing services who use that platform, but still call for assignments and still pay a decent fee that I'm happy to work for.)
These days, a big chunk of the business seems to be going to companies that just want to find someone for as little as they can get away with paying. As business volume decreases over time, their numbers may grow - especially if interest rates continue to go up.
