Late to the game I know....

"When you have a husband and wife, don't both names go in the cert?"

Both names can be on the certificate, however, only if both husband "and" wife appears before me are both individuals notarized. If husband is "not" present, I would have to strike his name (or attach seperate certificate-depending on the situation) notarizing the wife only.

I could offer the option to have 'Betty P. Fence' and/or 'Betty Privacy Fence sign: Betty P. Fence aka as Betty Privacy Fence, however, she would have to choose which name to be notarized. Preferably name on ID, both names are not an option. As others mentioned before, the only way around the situation is to include two certificates, one name (variation) per certificate.
